Morrisville, Pennsylvania – MediCom Worldwide, Inc., an ACCME-accredited provider of continuing medical education, was recently recognized for their continued EXCELLENCE in producing Emerging Solutions in Pain (ESP) by being awarded two 2008 COMMUNICATOR AWARDS.

The Annual Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive and audio. It is judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 200+ members organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. With over 9,000 entries from across the US and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring the creative excellence for communications professionals.

Linda Day, director of the IAVA noted that, “The incredible quality and diversity of this year’s entries was an inspiration to the academy and all of our judges. The work reflected the rapidly changing media landscape as the growing amounts of interactive work submitted pushed the limits of the medium, and the quality of the traditional work submitted was again remarkable.”

ESP is a multi-award winning, comprehensive educational initiative, funded by an independent educational grant from Cephalon, Inc. The IAVA recognized the educational content as well as the copy or writing of ESP with the 2008 Communicator Awards.

ESP is a robust and multi-faceted educational and communications initiative designed to address the most critical issues for pain management practitioners. The ESP program provides pain management clinicians with an array of useful tools and guidance to ultimately improve the quality of clinical care for patients suffering from excruciating pain.

The heart of ESP is its website, www.EmergingSolutionsinPain.com, a community hub consisting of various accredited educational activities and a source of up-to-date news and information. ESP also exhibits at many of the primary pain and addiction association congresses and offers practitioners an opportunity to meet personally with leading national experts. ESP-associated continuing medical education symposia are frequently scheduled in tandem with major pain-related national and international meetings. Accredited educational monographs covering various pain and addiction topics are published quarterly. All initiatives are developed in conjunction with leading experts to ensure advancement, relevancy of the information and timely delivery to support continual increase in the number of engaged health care professionals.

Receiving these awards is both an honor and also warranted recognition for this leading initiative in pain management.
