Chester “Trip” Buckenmaier III, MD

Dr. Chester 'Trip' Buckenmaier III is a graduate of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He has a master’s degree in biology from East Carolina University, and a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Catawba College. Following completion of residency training in anesthesiology, he completed a one-year fellowship program in Regional Anesthesia and Ambulatory Medicine from Duke University. Currently, Dr. Buckenmaier is the Chief of the Army Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management Initiative (ARAPMI), and President of the Military Advanced Regional Anesthesia and Analgesia organization (Tri-Service partner to ARAPMI), which is focused on improving regional anesthesia and pain management for soldiers and families at home, and on the battlefield.
