MORRISVILLE, PA – The Emerging Solutions in Pain (ESP) team was delighted to be selected as a recent Winner by the 15th Annual Communicator Awards in spring 2009.

The 2009 Communicator Awards featured an incredible pool of over 9,000 entries, making it the largest and most prestigious award of its kind. Being honored with a Communicator Award is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to the award-winning programs developed by the entire ESP team, including an esteemed group of clinical advisors and faculty.

The Communicator Awards is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms. IAVA members include executives from organizations such as Alloy, Brandweek, Coach, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, Fry Hammond Barr, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Victoria’s Secret, Wired, and Yahoo!

The ESP Patient Tool Kit has won a Communicator Award of Excellence in the category of Interactive Multimedia – Health & Wellness. The Award of Excellence is the highest honor given to those entries whose ability to communicate puts them among the best in the field.

One of the Communicator Awards honors creative excellence in Interactive by seeking out the best in Websites, Online Advertising and Marketing, and Online Audio and Video Media. Interactive entries are judged against a high standard of excellence based on the Communicator Awards' 15-year history of judging work. A category may have multiple winners or no winners at all.

The ESP Patient Tool Kit is a collection of 13 programs designed to assist pain management clinicians in educating their patients on the rationale and use of assessment, monitoring, and documentation practices. Each program has been developed under the guidance of a leading expert in the field of chronic pain management. The videos range in length from 8 to 20 minutes, and it is recommended that the videos be viewed by the patients in the privacy of the exam room or another room in the practice where privacy can be ensured. This series was designed so that the clinician may select all or just one or two topics depending on individual patient needs. Each video has an accompanying Fact Sheet which can be printed and given to the patient to reinforce information provided in each video. To view the Fact Sheets, please click here, or to order an ESP Patient Tool Kit, which includes 13 video programs, please click here.

Congratulations to the entire team on this tremendous achievement of excellence for ESP!
