The award-winning ESP Practitioners Guide to Patient Visits provides an assortment of techniques and tools that may be used to help practitioners better assess the patient in pain and also help to demonstrate patient visit documentation for improved regulatory compliance and improved patient management.

Bronwyn Boyes, the educational director for the website, feels that the success of ESP stems from the teams’ dedication to continually improve outcomes for pain patients, and that the success of every ESP project stems from always keeping the patient at the forefront of what we develop, and having unique relationships and insights into educating pain management practitioners that are earned only with experience.

Managing chronic pain patients requires a strategic approach to both patient care and risk containment for the patient, health care professional and medical practice. In order to adhere to medical practice standards and comply with state and federal regulations, documentation is not an option; it is an essential component of best-practice medicine!

This guide provides ESP members with an assortment of techniques and tools that may be used to help practitioners better assess the patient in chronic pain and also help to demonstrate patient visit documentation for improved regulatory compliance and improved patient management.
