ESP Special Interest Groups (SIG)
The dramatic growth in Emerging Solutions in Pain (ESP) has demanded an expansion in our educational offerings. This has led to the introduction of ESP Special Interest Groups (SIG) that enable our expanding clinician and researcher membership to have a dedicated section to discuss highly specific issues in depth.
|Fibromyalgia: Diagnosis and Treatment Options|

Expiration Date: November 09, 2011
|Our first SIG is focused on fibromyalgia (FM) pain to assist healthcare providers in understanding FM as a condition that overlaps with many other conditions based on presenting symptoms, pathophysiology, and functional changes. Participants will be able to describe pain/sensory control, delineate possible underlying factors, discuss diagnostic issues inclusive of how FM fits with other chronic widespread pain disorders, and comprehend pharmacologic treatment and its rationale in persons with FM.
