Hi. I am Kathy Hahn. I am a community pharmacist and I have been specializing in pain management for the last 20 years or so. I am in Eugene, Oregon and I am affiliate faculty at Oregon State University School of Pharmacy and I am also on the board of directors for the American Academy of Pain Management. Genetic makeup actually is pretty interesting and I think Lynn Webster quoted a study a little earlier in our program talking about how important family history of drug abuse and diversion and addiction and all that is in looking at someone who has problems. In the pharmacy setting, we actually are able to look at patients, and their parents, and their children, and their grandchildren, and you can see a line of problems if it is someone with drug addiction problems, it is very evident and we see it.
